We have opened a fund to support Geldy, his family and his horses. They are urgently in need of support and your donations will be greatly appreciated.

Geldy's family pass on their immense gratitude to everyone who has given so generously to date. They have been able to buy a large quantity of good quality of hay, at a time of year when it was readily available.

25th October 2006
Nearly £1,400 (approx $2600) has been collected to date, mainly to feed Geldy’s horses. The family have used the money to pay off a $600 debt for feed already used, and to buy in more stocks.

Diana, Geldy’s sister-in-law, writes:

We've bought very good hay. Horses are in good condition.

One bale cost 25000 manat. The rate of exchange is 23500 (i.e. manats to the dollar). It is very very good hay. It is green lucerne and the bales are heavy. We bought 1320 bales of hay.
